Alcoholics Anonymous
is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement
for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
Our primary purpose
is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Recovery
There is a solution
The tremendous fact for every one of us is that we have discovered a common solution. We have a way out on which we can absolutely agree, and upon which we can join in brotherly and harmonious action. This is the great news this book carries to those who suffer from alcoholism.

MEJORARSE
Los conflictos emocionales, muy profundos, y a veces totalmente olvidados, persisten de forma desapercibida en el subconsciente.

Solamente por acción positiva puedo eliminar los vestigios de culpabilidad y vergüenza causados por el alcohol. En todas mis desventuras de mis días de bebedor, mis amigos me decían, “¿por qué estás haciendo esto? Solamente te estás haciendo daño a ti mismo”. Muy poco sabía yo qué ciertas eran estas palabras. Aunque yo había causado daños a otros, algo de mi comportamiento me había causado graves heridas en el alma. El Paso Ocho me ofrece una manera de perdonarme a mí mismo. Yo alivio muchos de mis daños ocultos cuando hago una lista de aquellos a quienes he herido. Al hacer reparaciones, me libero de cargas, contribuyendo así a mi mejoramiento.
