Alcoholics Anonymous
is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement
for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
Our primary purpose
is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Recovery
There is a solution
The tremendous fact for every one of us is that we have discovered a common solution. We have a way out on which we can absolutely agree, and upon which we can join in brotherly and harmonious action. This is the great news this book carries to those who suffer from alcoholism.

REDOBLAR NUESTROS ESFUERZOS
Hasta cierto grado, ya lo ha hecho al hacer su inventario moral, pero ahora ha llegado el momento de redoblar sus esfuerzos para ver a cuántas personas ha lastimado y de qué manera.

Según sigo creciendo en sobriedad, llego a tener más conciencia de mí mismo como una persona valiosa. En este proceso puedo ver mejor a otros como personas y con esto viene la comprensión de que éstas eran personas a quienes yo había lastimado durante mis días de bebedor. Yo no solamente mentí, mentí respecto a Tomás. No solamente engañé, engañé a Pepe. Lo que aparentaban ser solamente acciones impersonales fueron realmente afrentas personales porque eran gente —gente de valor— a quienes yo había ofendido. Necesito hacer algo respecto a la gente que he ofendido para poder disfrutar de una sobriedad pacífica.
