Alcoholics Anonymous
is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement
for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
Our primary purpose
is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Recovery
There is a solution
The tremendous fact for every one of us is that we have discovered a common solution. We have a way out on which we can absolutely agree, and upon which we can join in brotherly and harmonious action. This is the great news this book carries to those who suffer from alcoholism.

El perdón a sí mismo y el perdón a otros son solamente dos corrientes del mismo río, ambas obstaculizadas o detenidas completamente por la represa de los resentimientos. Una vez que se abre la represa, ambas corrientes pueden fluir. Los Pasos de A.A. me hacen posible ver cómo se han ido acumulando mis resentimientos, cortando así ese flujo en mi vida. Los Pasos facilitan el medio por el cual mis resentimientos —por la gracia de Dios, como yo lo concibo— pueden ser levantados.
