Alcoholics Anonymous
is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement
for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
Our primary purpose
is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Recovery
There is a solution
The tremendous fact for every one of us is that we have discovered a common solution. We have a way out on which we can absolutely agree, and upon which we can join in brotherly and harmonious action. This is the great news this book carries to those who suffer from alcoholism.

UN INGREDIENTE NUTRITIVO
Si antes la humildad había significado para nosotros la abyecta humillación, ahora empieza a significar el ingrediente nutritivo que nos puede deparar la serenidad.

¿Con qué frecuencia me centro en mis problemas y frustraciones? Cuando tengo un buen día, estos mismos problemas pierden importancia y mi preocupación por ellos disminuye. ¿No sería mejor encontrar una clave para desbloquear la magia de mis días buenos y usarla para superar las dificultades de mis días malos? ¡Ya tengo la solución! En lugar de intentar huir de mi dolor y desear que mis problemas desaparezcan, ¡puedo orar por humildad! La humildad sanará el dolor. La humildad me liberará de mi egocentrismo. La humildad, esa fuerza que me otorga ese "poder superior a mí", ¡está a mi alcance! La humildad devolverá el equilibrio a mi vida. La humildad me permitirá aceptar mi humanidad con alegría.
